Sunset Jog at Chatfield State Park

It was at dusk that I decided to drive up in the mountain for a walk/jog by the lake. So serene and refreshing up here. One of my favorite place where I can hang out and be at peace with mother nature.

Embracing the Cold Weather

Hello, it's Tuesday! Cold, freezing and wet in our neck of the woods. I've heard from the radio, it's snowing hard in the high country.

I love snow and for sure, we need moisture in this part of the hemisphere.
So, just keep pouring snow and we will enjoy watching you. :-)

Goodbye 2018! Thank you for the wonderful year! I would say, it was a great year so far. Here I am embracing the new year, which is the year of the pig. Welcome 2019 and looking forward for what the Lord has stores for me. By His grace, I'm always thankful!

Just A Thought

Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth. Family Matters

I love my family so much. I do believe, blood is thicker than water. I don't mind helping someone in need as long as they knew what they are doing and what their intentions are.

Asking for God's guidance that everything will be doing fine in acquiring something :)

Trust and Honesty Is an Investment You Put in People

Here is a short story with a beautiful message...

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter,
'Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river.'
The little girl said, 'No, Dad. You hold my hand.'
'What's the difference?' Asked the puzzled father.
'There's a big difference,' replied the little girl.

'If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go.
But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,
you will never let my hand go.'

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.

So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours...

This message is too short......but carries a lot of Feelings.

Fall 2012

September 22nd was the first day of Fall for 2012. We had the chance to see all the trees in Steamboat Springs. It was so pretty just to look at those Aspen trees changing its color for the season.
With much thankfulness to our dear friend who take us out to be with mother nature. Thank you for your time with us. Very much appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

It was a fun day and to all, Happy Harvest Fall Festival!

Oil Pastel Portrait of a 2nd Grader

She likes art class and loves to draw. She don't want to be an artist though because she want to be a whale watcher lifeguard. Can you see how simple and nature lover she is.

Anyway, I think her self-portrait is kind of cute for a 7 year old trying to learn every day at school.

Happy Father's Day

So blessed and happy that A and I were able to celebrate Father's Day 2012 with Papa in the Philippines.

As always, it is a great feeling to be with family.
The travel may be a pain in the ... since it is 18 hrs of travel but it was worth it. I don't mind sitting in the plane, eat and sleep.

A and I don't have much money but we managed to visit our family back home.
Supposedly, we are going to Hawaii for a vacation but as it was getting closer to my vacation leave, I changed my mind and went to PI.

Too Many Parties

Summer is the season where people are so busy with different outdoor activities.

Parties here and there.

A and I were invited for a birthday and graduation party. I got the invitation first for the graduation and confirmed that I am attending. Bad me, I fell asleep yesterday! When I woke up, it was too late to drive and be with friends. Bummer!

Today, another graduation party is being held. I declined and don't feel like going anywhere. At the end, I ended up working late afternoon. My Sup called if I can come to work because of some circumstances...I love my job, might as will work and tow my A with me.

Tomorrow, there's a picnic at Eldorado Springs and I doubt it if I go, I know the motive of the get together. I verify with the person inviting me. We joked each other about it. I'm single but not ready to mingle.

I have a great friend who is so nice to me and I'm sure that person is reading this blog of mine. You know who are you, it is YOU!...:)

My Lawn, My Joy

During my free time, I love to stay outside and do some light yard works. Glad we have a place called home where we can breath fresh air in the backyard.

A likes to play outside. While I am pulling some weeds or watering the grass, she's happily singing and swinging in her swing.  I am thinking of planting some flowers, tomatoes and eggplants.

Being a homebody, it would teach me how to get away from the mall...wink! I doubt it, in life we need to balance life. Doing variety of stuff just makes our world go round:) Keeping up life, in general!

Unfortunately, crime rates are on the rise. With the current economic troubles and the dramatic rise in unemployment, experts believe that robberies and property thefts will continue to increase.

That is why if you are planning to get one, make sure you have the best home security preferably one that is monitored by a live service for the utmost protection.

Safeguarding our homes is the best we can do and it is very vital for the protection of our property and family. Rest assure ,you will have peace of mind during your sleep or even when you are far from home for a vacation or travel.

Before selecting a home security system, it is important to be familiar with all the services that is available now a days. There's some important factors to consider. So why not visit best home security on the web and from there, you can choose the one that you really want.

Happy For Pamangkin

I have 19 pamangkins (nephews and nieces) and I'm so proud of them. JR stands out from the rest of them, I guess.

At school, he is a member of the dance troop and so with the glee club (singing). He's popular in the school where he's going to.

In fact, they joined the showtime, the show where Ann Curtis is one of the hosts.

Keep up the good work, JR! We are all here to support you.

Moving Here

Thanks for the guest post by Jonathan Curtis

I thought when I moved here with my husband that we’d be working the land together and waking up early to gather eggs and all that – I didn’t really think that this would be so hard. As it turns out he’s gotten a full time job so it’s all up to me to keep this farm running when he’s not here. I’ve made some upgrades like hiring a farmhand and I went to hughesnet.com to get internet so I could contact vendors and order stuff online but at the end of the day running this small farm is way more work than any job I’ve ever had in my life. I know we were talking about starting to have kids when we moved out here but you know, at this rate I don’t think I have enough energy at the end of the day to wash the dishes much less chase a toddler around. I don’t know where my husband thinks I’m going to find the time to be a mom!

What A Great Easter!

Thankful to a friend for the thoughtfulness:) A's so happy with her big, big Bunnies. Well, one is for me, supposedly but she hugs both. That's okay, the generous heart really understand the concept...wink!

Early morning, as early as 4:00 A.M, we woke up so we can attend the Easter Sunrise Service at Red Rocks. It was A and I's 1st time. What a blessing to have friends around where we can carpool with them.

After the service, A took a nap and then late afternoon, we carpool again with another friend so our kids can have Egg hunting while the parents are having a party and as usual enjoying the Filipino food.

What a busy and wonderful Easter we had!

My Godsister (Igso- Inaanak ng Nanay Ko)

What a great privilege to see my so called little sis for visiting us in Colorado for 5 days.
They arrived last Saturday morning driving all the way from Norman, Oklahoma.

The last time I saw her, she was still a baby and crawling all over the boarding house we were living.

Amazing that for how many years, we crossed our path again and the reunion is in a different country. We never know where life gonna lead us, huh!

As always, glory and honor to Him for giving us the opportunity to be reunited even for just 5 days of bonding. Superdooper, my A's so happy to have someone at the house.

To be continued...busy at work:)
