Naughty Alarm

I did sleep like a baby last night after my zumba class, eating a delicious dinner at Ate Carmen's house and then chatting, giggling and laughing out loud with my friend via webcam.

I was tired, I guess after what's being transpired after my long day.

Hubby woke me up at 4:30 AM. I didn't check what happen to my alarm and just jumped out of bed and took a quick shower. That woke me up....I mean the hot water running all over me.

Well, Hubby's at home right? He was fixing a sliced of Banana bread and a juice for my breakfast to take to work. That was nice of him. Every now and then, he do that specially if I'm running late. Thank you, Dearpie. I don't know what to do without you, Char! Of course, I can live without you, you teach me how though...wink!

Call me crazy, but it's the truth.

Anyway, I made to work just in time. Sometimes at night, after I put up our girl in bed, I have to get up and so with my bana and goofed around the house like cleaning, blogging, baking, chatting and anything that my mind has to tell me me to do. I need to cut off this kind of habit and need to get more sleep.

Got to go, and need to check our voicemail at work and do some call back.

Cell Phone Bill

I was checking our account online the other night and saw this $9.99 additional fee. I called customer support and questioned about this matter.

According to her, it's a third party account and seems like I signed up something online for sidekick thingy?

Huh! She told me to recall any activities that I did online and checked for any text messages. I found the culprit. It was those test in the facebook. I did click something without realizing it. Thank you to the very nice lady over the phone for fixing it for me. I don't want those sidekick thingy and never believe about it.

I asked the lady if I can changed our family plan to a prepaid plan since we don't use much of our cell, specially my Hubby. That way, I can save some bucks in a monthly basis. We have two phone lines at home anyway. Pay as you go phone would be the best option for me. Too bad, I have to wait for our contract to expired next year before I can changed the plan. I can changed anytime before my contract expired but I have to pay $200/line for the termination fee. Since we have two cells, I have to pay $400 total. Never mind...I'll wait for the contract to be done and it's cheaper that way.

Just let the time handle the situation for few more months, that way it's gonna be easy on my part.

My Favorite TV and Movie Personalities

Watching movie is one of our favorite past times as a family. It doesn't matter whether it is a drama, comedy, action or romance as long as we like the main actors or actresses who portraits the role.

For us, we admire and like to watch our best of the best awards movie and TV personality, Angelina Jolie.

Let me tell you something about my favorite Angelina Jolie.

Growing up in Los Angeles, Jolie was no stranger to the film industry, being the daughter of Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight. She later trained and performed at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she was seen in several stage productions.

She worked as a professional model in London, New York and Los Angeles and has also appeared in music videos for such artists as meat Loaf, Lenny Kravitz, Antonello Venditti and The lemonheads.

In addition, she has acted in five student films for the USC School of Cinema, all directed by her brother, James Haven.

Angelina Jolie is an Oscar-winning actress who has become popular by taking on the title role in the "Lara Croft" series of blockbuster movies. Off-screen, Jolie has become prominently involved in international charity projects, especially those involving refugees. She often appears on many "most beautiful women" lists, and she has a personal life that is avidly covered by the tabloid press.

In her earliest years, Angelina began absorbing the acting craft from her parents - her father is the Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight and her mother is Marcheline Bertrand, who had studied with Lee Strasberg. At age 11, Angelina began studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She undertook some film studies at New York University and later joined the renowned Met Theatre Group in Los Angeles.

At age 16, she took up a career in modeling and appeared in some music videos. Her exotic good looks may derive from her mixed ancestry which is Czech, French-Canadian, Iroquois and English.

She's a woman to respect with. She becomes the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency. Ms. Jolie, promoted humanitarian causes throughout the world. She has been cited as one of the world's most beautiful women.

You think, blogging about my idol Angelina Jolie will make me famous and win the BOB awards? Who knows someone will notice this blog of mine on how I admire Ms Jolie. Blogging is part of my world now and it doesn't matter whether, I win a blog awards or not as long as I can jot down what and how I feel about something.

Anyway, Jolie is currently living with handsome actor Brad Pit, in a relationship that has attracted worldwide media attention. Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, as well as three biological children, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.

Before I closed, Please nominate me in the Best of the Best Awards!

Switching To A New Car Insurance Provider

I saved almost $400.00 from our old car insurance to the new one. I was not happy with our old one on how they increase almost $200 for our premium.

Well, our previous agent just retired and they have this new guy that taking the post. I guess, new management, new policy.

Now, Hubby and I are both happy with our new car insurance with lesser premium to pay but the same kind of service. We can save more if we don'y get an insurance with my Hubby's truck but it's a law that we have to insured all our cars that is in our property. Yeah, after mg Esposo retired from his job, he seldom use his truck.

Well, we just have to follow the rules and things we be alright.

Next year, the guy over the phone told me that our car insurance will go down. We will see...

The Fun As An Exhibitor

A Filipina friend of mine is married to an American guy who's source of living is in a trade show business. They live in their big trailer or camper and move from state to state where they can display their trade show during any fair, exhibitions and booth expo.

Just because their trade show displays are small doesn’t mean they have to look like yesterday’s pizza box. They dress it up! Use some material and make theater curtains for their displays. Set up some table skirts on a table that has silk draping over the side. Make it shine so it grips the attention of passersby.

Trade shows can take an enormous toll on anyone’s enthusiasm. 14-hour days spent on your feet, smiling and greeting attendees who have limited interest in what you’re selling can affect anybody’s motivation. Trade show exhibits might require a durable, versatile truss system. Putting up some banner stands will make a distinctive impact on your audience, regardless of size. It delivers a lasting impression to the public, audience or buyers.

Just to make sure, as a trade show exhibitors owner, bear in mind to have a postive attitude and be enthusiastic about being there with your displays or product.

Your trade show booths and displays need to communicate your brand, convince attendees to visit, and allow your booth staff to engage them in conversation. For sure, having a business in a trade show industry is very challenging and rewarding. You just have to pipe and drape your booth to attract the audience aside from a witty conversation.

Having the highest-quality products and most creative displays won’t be enough to make your attending a trade show worthwhile. Successful exhibitors know that they need to spread the word well in advance in order to meet their goals. The promotional wheels need to start turning ahead of time by passing out some flyers or promoting your products in the internet.

Planning to be an exhibitors? Think about it and visit those highlighted keywords above for all your needs in putting up your own trade show booths.

Thank You, Ma and Pa

When I think of all the things you do,
the ways in which you care,
I am filled with a sense of gratitude
and pride that is always there.
I seldom take the time to tell you
that I'm happy you're my mom and dad;
so I'll tell you now what's in my hearts,
"You're the best that I could have!"

I'm Back To Work

Last night before going to bed, Hubby and I were talking about setting up the alarm for my back to work day.

"I don't want you to work, Mama," according to Angelina.

"Sweetie, Mama's vacation is over and she needs to be at work. Just to let you know that when you wake up in the morning, Mama's gone already to work," Hubby's explanation to our sweet and challenging girl.

Do I like staying home? Of course, I do but just let me work also. It's part of my life already. I'm happy and content with my part time job. We're still surviving with our simple life by the grace of God. Just lean on Him and rest assured life is much easier. Just be faithful of your giving also.

It's good to see and say hi and hello to our patrons at work asking how my husband is doing. So far, so good and he's recuperating peacefully at home.

Oh, Denver Botanical Garden has a family day today. It's free day for all those people who pay their taxes. We're thinking of exploring again to this beautiful scenic place in Denver.

Hubby might not go but I have Angelina, Ma and Pa with me. It's still a plan and it isn't confirm yet. We'll see how's everything going from work to home.

Have a terrific MONDAY morning!

The Best Car Insurance

Being the keeper and in-charged of the budgetary in our household, I pay our car insurance premium twice a year.

This month, I was supposed to pay the full six months but I noticed an increase of the amount I have to pay. I called our car insurance agent and asked about it.

He put me on hold fo a little bit and then came back. He don't have any clue either and told me that he will call the company and will give me a ring on Monday.

Thinking about the slight increase of our car insurance, I was triggered to do some comparison quotes and shopping online. I even called some agents over the phone just to make sure that I get the lowest rate as possible that fits our needs with regards to auto insurance.

Yes, comparison shopping could save hundreds of dollars per year on the insurance premiums. We have to consider that having a car insurance is a must. It pays for your vehicle's damage and medical expenses. Most policies will also pay for your damages if an uninsured driver hits you.

So do you have an auto insurance? Some people do not realize that in most places driving without auto insurance is illegal. If you are in an accident, and are found to be at fault, you may have to pay damages out of your pocket. So, while you may think you cannot afford auto insurance; the truth is you cannot afford to be without it!

Apply and get one for your safety. Applying takes a very short amount of time, and can be done online. There are websites that allow you to input information about yourself, and they will give you free quotes from several companies. Shopping around will ensure that you get the lowest rate possible. If cost is a concern for you, there are several options to help out.

A Letter For Angelina, From Her Buddy

As if, I've been talking a lot about Bethany, lately. Yesterday was her last day at her Grandparents house for a vacation. The day she left, Angelina was with her Grandpa all day. It was Grandpa's schedule to babysit his grandchild. It was all his idea and setting up days when Angelina can come to his house.

We knew that Bethany is leaving and Bethany knew that Angelina was being picked up by her grandpa.

Late in the afternoon, I opened our front door to get our mails.
As I pulled all the mails, I saw this tiny book with a white paper inserted to it. It was a letter from Bethany! I mean the white paper. Hubby and I read the content with the absence from our little girl. It was not sealed and we are the parents so, we have the rights to open and read what letters our girl will receive...lolz!

It was Angelina's 1st letter from a friend but Bethany said Buddy. Isn't it cute how children working and communicating in their own world?

When our girl came home, we told her about Bethany's letter and book.

Read it for me, Mama!" her excitement as she's holding and flipping the tiny book.

"Oh, I missed Bethany, already," her sad tone of voice.

"What is buddy, Mama?" her questioned to me. "Bethany is not my body, I have my own body and she can't be my body.

"Angelina, buddy and body are totally two different words," my explanation to her.

"Buddy is another name for a friend," I said.

Last night, we started reading Bethany's book before going to bed. We read it already as soon as our girl got it but you know kiddos, they like it over and over again.

To Bethany, thank you for your friendship with our girl. You set a good example to her from being polite, respectful, tactfull and all those great manners that a child has to possess. I'm so proud of you and how your parents brought you up. Keep up the good work and see you around!

Happy For My Husband

He's guilty or simply thinking of his health.

He threw his plastic mug that he always use for his coffee. He switched to a breakable one and drinking his coffee in a moderate amount.

He woke up happy, full of life and energy. We talked and become emotional. My Hubby is toughed but he can cry easily.

"Thank you for being my wife and I'm so sorry if I am a hard headed old man," he said.

We cried and hugged each other for a long time. Who said we're done with our 10 years of marriage adjustment? We're still working on it...lolz!

It's pretty common for a couple to have some conflict or misunderstanding for each other. For me, voicing out my feelings is the best way whether my spouse would like it or not. If it creates a World War V, I don't care as long as I imparted what's best for our family.

There's nothing to hide against our spouse. The two of us become one fleshed in the eyes of God.

Well, our girl was watching us and she joined our group hugged.
"I love you both, Mama and Dada!" "You guys are so funny," her additional words of wisdom.

We did take a cat nap in the morning then woke up when Bethany rang our doorbell.

Our girl jumped out of bed and opened the door for her friend Bethany.

A Nurse's Visit

A visiting nurse was here this morning in our abode. It was part of the plan and it's basically covered by our health insurance.

What I like about the American culture, they're very particular with punctuality. He arrived on time (10: 35 AM), maybe 5 minutes late but for me he's still on time.

Goodness gracious! I thought, one hour visit was enough but it took about 2 hours and 18 minutes overall.

It's not every day that an RN has to visit my husband. It's just a follow up visit after being discharged from the hospital. Kim, the RN, measured Hubby's three holes and the punctured on his belly. Then, they go over about the right kind of food to eat. Speaking of healthy food, looks like my Husband is ignoring it. It says in the handbook that coffee and cigarette can cause gas and may have an effect of discomfort after the surgery. Well, he got coffee as a water, sipping every minute of it and a nicotine patch as usual. He was complaining passing out a lot of gas and it's very painful, duh! I just can't understand how stubborn he is. If you say something about it, he said, I know what I'm doing. Well, goodluck to you, Dear!

The nurse and I just looked at each other. Later, Kim went over to all the medication that he's taking. I know all the medications that he's into and I'm really against it but I can't control my Husband's addiction to the substance. For me, it's very horrifying how he takes all those narcotics drugs.
Even the nurse advised him not to take Vicodin and Percoset (Spelling!) together plus the Zomax and Zantax. He said, I know! I'm just taking the Percoset. Yeah, he's like a Zombie most of the time. He's always a sleepy head and confused but he's in denial though. I am totally against all those drugs, you know? But, it's not my life and he thinks he's right or just being addicted to it. He said he's in pain and can't tolerate. I know he's trying hard but only God's miracle can release him out of those medications.

No one's perfect, right? I just continue with my faith from Above to enlighten my husband's mind. I understand, he's been to many rough roads in his life. All I can do is to support him and every now and then inject some sweet and inspiring words to him. I can be tough at times and hurt his feelings but it's a challenge for him. Just take it or leave it! Think about it, if I'm not concern about you, my husband, I will never stop you but because I love you, I have to remind you how precious life is. You know what I mean.

Anyhow, after the nurse's visit, I went out with friendship Lerio to do some grocery shopping at the Asian Market. I was an hour late with our date but for sure she totally understand my situation. There's a valid reason, right Kumare?

I apologized to you, Kumare if I refused to eat in a Buffet Restaurant even though you pay for it. Well, you don't eat a lot, I don't feel like eating a Buffet (just for today, I mean we're not hungry to pig out the food selections) and we have to pay for Angelina who doesn't eat much.

Thank you for the great lunch and the fellowship that I have with you. Goodluck and God Bless on your housewarming.

Hubby's Home

After five days in the hospital, he's finally back in our home sweet home.

Right after the church service, he called on my cell to let me know that he's ready for his ride.
Poor Bana, he really missed the praise and worship service but I assured him that we included him in our prayers.

After I let him settled down in our bed, I went out again to drop off the prescriptions that his doctor prescribed for him. I took Angelina with me so, Hubby can have a relaxing moment under the care of Ma and Pa.

The pharmacy technician told me to come back after an hour to pick up the drugs. Our girl was listening to the conversation and suggested to stay at McDonald so she can play. What can I do? Every now and then our Angelina has to play at McDo. Well, the said place is just opposite to Walgreens so, it's pretty much convenient on my part.

By the time we came home, t'was in the middle of ASAP '09 show. I let Angelina took her cat nap in the couch with me while I'm watching my ASAP.

Taking a Week Off From Work

Starting today, I'm on vacation...

Well, I'm taking some days off from work so I can attend to my husband's need at home. I supposed to start last Monday with my time off but putting two and two together, Hubby's still in the hospital and he got all the care from the health providers so why not wait until he gets home. That would be a brilliant and wise idea, right?

I was in so much guilt to call my Boss last Friday about changing my vacation time. She already made our schedule for July and I even had a copy of it. Blessed her heart, when I called she was more than happy to informed my co-workers about the changes because of my husband's situation.

No matter what, family first before work. That's how our team valued our family. We're so good in backing up someone's schedule if it's necessary. It's a give and take situation.

Hopefully, by next week my adventurous husband will be home for the rest of his recovery period. Praised God for the good news from Dr. Rosenberger that he's cancer free now.

Today, the surgeon (Dr. Rosenberger), ordered a therapy for my husband. It's his third day after the surgery and the therapist took my Hubby for a walk along the hallway.

So far, so good but one thing that my Husband can't resist is the craving of his cigarette. Unbelievable! I can't just believe how stubborn and addicted he is. He's creating his own grave and I can't help him with this matter or else it will just cause a major fight. What can I say?

He called me yesterday at home if I can bring his nicotine patch when I visit him. Well, he can't light up a cigarette in the hospital or can't go outside and have the tambucho mouth so, he asked me to bring his patch without the doctor's permission. I let the nurse know that Hubby's snicking some nicotine patch and he was just shaking his head and said "unbelievable but surel it happened to those people who are chain smokers. It's the patient's right, graveh!

My motto, "Let go and let God" there's nothing I can do about his vice.

I better go now and do some chores around the house then visit my stubborn spouse in the hospital. Ma and Pa's going with me too to see their son-in-law. They are best of friends and they think Rich is their favorite SIL, how's that!

Our Angelina girl is with his grandpa, a schedule that's been going on. Her Grandpa picked her up at 7:30 this morning and bring back our girl by 4:30 PM this afternoon.

Hubby's Surgery

I got off from work as early as 10:00 AM yesterday to be with my husband during his surgery.

I took with me my paper bag novel Cradle and All by James Patterson. It's been ages that I haven't read fiction stories. I'm just busy doing other things. But yesterday, I finished the whole book within three hours without any interruption. That's when the doctor came out from the surgery room to let me know that my husband was doing pretty well during the whole process. He was moved to the recovery room for another hour then an hour later to a regular room where we can see and visit him.

For the past three years, Hubby's slowly been losing a lot of weights. He's taking Celebrex medication and for some reason, he got blood on his stool. After three days of blood spotting on his stool, he called the doctor (from his work injury) and informed about it. He was send to a GI specialist and had his lower and upper GI checked. Then, they did a colonoscopy to him and that's when they found out that he got polyps on his colon which turn out to be a tumor and cancerous.

I can understand his denial at first and now that he's comfortable talking about it after all the chemo and radiation that he's been going through. I respect his right not to blog and blab about it!

Now, I have the permission to talk about it. As I've always says, he is the best husband in the whole world. He will do the best as he can to make his family happy but once he's mad, he's really mad. Mind you, he's not bipolar per doctor's. It's because that he's taking a lot of medication from the get go, that's why he's like that or plainly it's his attitude na where only God can change.

He started smoking when he was 14 year old and he has a hard time quitting his smoking habit. He did try for how many times already but it didn't work out. What can I say?

He's dealing with lots of physical pain in his body and so dependent with the prescription drugs. He's been on medication already before I knew him.

According to him, he's thankful to God that he found me. Do I got lots of patience? I let go of everything and let God handle my life. If it was just me, I can go crazy but with God's guidance, I overcome the life of a married woman.

I'm his third wife, his first marriage lasted for 4 years and the second one ended up after 14 years of relationship. Divorced in America is pretty common just like selling a hotcake in the Philippines.

If possible, saved the holy marriage and I'm not against divorced either. Why stay with someone you don't like anymore, right?

But prayers is powerful and there's nothing impossible with Him. Just turn everything to Him and He has the glory to deal everything on earth. Believe me! I am the living witness of His goodness. Just be humble (but not the martyr type, fight for your rights) and bear in mind that marriage is for better or for worst and in sickness or in health.

To you Dearpie, get well soon! Putting two and two together, it's a wake up call for you and need to changed your life style. I'm here to support you but I'm not a saint. I got temper too and need to fight for my rights.

I know you love me so much and because of your love, you want to do something against me. I forgave you already because God knows what's in my heart. I do admit, I am too vocal and outspoken. It's just me!

There's a reason why God put as together as a couple. I don't believe in destiny but I believe in the will of God. There's a reason why your health is at stake. He extended your life to the fullest and it's your choice. Regrets is at the end and it's not too late to start a whole new you.

For sure, I'm here to support you. I've been with you for almost eleven years and here I am alive and kicking to be your woman for the rest of your life. (Huh!) Forgive me if I say the word "divorced" against you when I'm out of control. All I have to do is to wait for you to divorce me...hu! hu! Just kidding!

You rest assured me that it would never happen to us. Yeah, I can attest how loving, caring, understanding, happy and content we are in each others arm but watch out when the Pinatubo erupted, as if the lava won't quit exploding...wink! They all say, it's part of being married, which is true. You learned a lesson and so do I.

To all my followers... They cut off about 3-4 cm of Hubby's colon that was cancerous then put them back together. He's cancer free now but there's still a tendency for the cancer cell to come back. It was a laparoscopic procedure creating three holes on his abdomen.

When we visit him earlier, he was up sitting in the hospital chair with his breather to avoid pneumonia after surgery.

To God be the glory, he's doing great despite of some abdominal pains. You think my husband will quit smoking now? I just let go of it and let him decide what's best for him. For all I know, God gave him a second chance to live and to remind him that life on earth is so precious.

One factor why my husband is prone to cancer, it's in their genes. His Mom died in 1990 because of cancer and his Uncle Ernest in 2000 with the same diagnosed.
For all I know, si Jesus ang aking kakampi. Just pray without ceasing.

Auto Insurance Is A Must

Sometimes people think they can get away without having auto insurance. Well, sure, if you do not have a car and don't drive you can. Otherwise, if you own a car or drive at the least, it's the law that you are obliged to have an auto insurance.

By law, all drivers must have auto insurance or some other form of financial ownership (with exception to a few states). The reason this law is in place is in order to insure that one driver will not have to pay for another drivers mistakes. If another driver makes a careless mistake, and in turn damages your car, this law ensures that they will pay for your damages (well, their insurance company will pay).

Every state has its own specific requirements as for car insurance, but most require a minimum of bodily injury and property damage liability. These two liability coverage's make it so that you will pay for any damages that you cause to another drivers car, property, or them self - if the incident was your fault. Depending on what you purchase with the insurance company, the insurance company will pay to the "victim" of your negligent driving. It is important to have semi-decent coverage, so that in case of an accident, you are not going to be paying out of your pocket.

When you need to make a claim, the company will pay If you get in an accident, or need to make a claim for any legitimate reason, the insurance company will pay out. Repairing vehicles, or furthermore replacing them, is extremely expensive. It is good to have peace of mind knowing your insurance company is covering your back.

Needless to say, auto insurance is something required, and driving without is very dangerous. Sure, auto insurance can be expensive, but it is worth it when considering the possible outcomes on the scary roads.

So, visit Americancarquotes.com for your auto insurance needs. Think about how much insurance do you need. Select your state and get a quote considering the help
of your agent.

Auto Insurance is important, needless to say.

I just got home from a dinner with friends in the neighborhood. We watched Filipino movies (2 DVD's) after our eating session. I thought, I have to passed the said get together because I was with my family earlier during the day running some errands.

Well, I just finally done changing the wallpaper in our semi-basement. Hubby's going to put up the new baseboard so we went to Lowe's and look for the kind of board that we want.

After our transaction at Lowe's, we had lunch with my family in a Chinese Buffet. I was stuffed and ready to fall asleep. For sure, we went home and had a cat nap.

I checked my cell and had some messages and one of the messages was the dinner that I went to.

For tomorrow's July 4th celebration, we got two invitations for a B-B-Q party. One will be held in the park and the other one is in their home. We will see...
I will be working for 5 hours in the information booth tomorrow during the July 4th Festival sponsored by the City of Northglenn. It's an all day Family Festival in the park with lots of activities from toddlers to seniors.

My girl is going with me to work though. Hopefully, in the afternoon...we can join the said party and watch the fireworks by 9:30 PM.

Have a safe 4th of July!
