Friday Shopping

I went shopping with Ivy and Annie later during the day. It was really busy in all the stores that we went. Lots of people were taking advantage of the door buster for the early bird shoppers.
It's true, if you have the diligent and patient with all the chaotic people at the store, you can get great deals. Is it worth it? For me , it is and I don't have any problem with the crowd.
I bought some cute outfit for our little girl. When I got home, she was so happy emptying all the sacks. Her eyes just sparkled upon seeing all the clothes that she got.
I was kind of tired from hopping to one store and another.
I better go and get some rest.

Thanksgiving Dinner

As a tradition, we have to celebrate our Thanksgiving within our family circle. No friends involved or invited.
We held the said occasion at my FIL"s home. There were five of us, (ME, Hubby, Angelina, Fil and william Gary).
My FIL just ordered the whole set of food at Safety. He just warmed all the food in his oven and what a great dinner we have.
I supposed to be in a Filipina's house since I was invited for a Filipino Thanksgiving. I was so tired and lazy then fall asleep. I heard the message in our voicemail from her wandering where I am.
It was dark then when I woke up, so I called her and apologized for not showing on her dinner.

An Email from My Boss

I checked my email this morning at work and one of it is from my Boss. They already put up the Christmas tree and just need to be decorated. If I have time, I can start putting up the Christmas ornaments around the tree.We have three Christmas tree here at work. Maybe later, I will make the tree beautiful. I need to visit and jot down some journals here in my blog world. I have plenty of opportunities to grab but I don't have much time or shall I say, I can't do personal business here at work. If those opportunities will still be available 'til I get home, I'm more than happy to grab those.

The Guilt In Me

I felt so bad for not attending my former co-worker's baby shower. I had a hectic schedule last Friday preparing for our little gathering in our house in lieu of Ma and Pa's go away party as the main event.
I just gave her the present today. There were 18 people showed up per Cind i( my co-worker) during the said shower.
Right now, I'm watching the final of the Dancing With the Stars. It's really exciting to hear the result. I can't wait the announcement of who will be the champion. Oh well, may the best dancers win!

Alarm Didn't Go Off

Did I ever tell you how I woke up yesterday and today? No, I didn't woke up in the wrong bed or someone's bed...Wednesday, my Banana woke me up by 4:20 AM. He was waiting for me to come down on my regular wake up time. After twenty minutes of waiting and it never happened...thank goodness he came by our room and did an Eskimo Kiss so I can be awake. He's so sweet, right? Anyway, my alarm didn't go off. I looked at it and only to find out that it was set to PM instead of AM. Well, our Angelina likes to manipulate my belongings specially my cellphone which I always use now as my alarm clock. I would say cellphone is better as long I have to set it right than the regular timer that you have to plugged in. I had an experienced with it also. There was a brown out in the middle of the night and the alarm didn't go off. I just woke up on that particular morning when our Custodial at work called me home. She was my alarmed clock and I was in the panicked mood as far as I can recall.Today, I heard the alarm and just turned it off and try to go back to bed for like 25 minutes. About 4:38 AM, Hubby kissed me and told me that it's time for me to go to work. Oh well, he can be my prince in a shining armor...wink! For sure he is!

A Curious Customer

He's new in the area and likes to use our facility. I gave him a tour around the building and introduced him with all the equipments we have. After a walk through, I gave him our Brochure so he can look and see what other activities that we're offering in our recreation. We go over the pricing, membership and passes.I tried to explained that if he comes in at least 3 times a week, a one year pass is a good deal for him. He's smiling at me and said, "Do you have any commission or incentives if I get the one year pass?" "No, sir I don't," looking at him eye to eye. "Too bad, you did very good with your sales talk and you're a great help to me," his rambling."Thank you!" I said in reply. He signed up for a year membership and he's gonna be one of our valued patrons in town.Don't you just love to be around people?

My two neighboring friends invited me yesterday to go shopping with them after work. Both of us have this coupon at DSW for $20.00 as a reward for our birthday from this store.Too bad, my Banana can't take Angelina to her Twinkle Toes dance lesson since he have tons (huh!) of paper works to finish. That means, I was obliged to do so. I told my friends, maybe some other time when I have a real day off and my Bana's able to watch our piglet.

Another friend called and leave a message if we can go out today and have some fun at the Mall. I doubt it if I can. My parents asked a favor last night if I can take them to the store today so they can buy something for their Philippine Pasalubong. Putting two and two together, I have to spend time with my MaPa while they're still here. Definitely, I will take them to the store today and eat out since their days are counted...lolz! I have to call my friend later and tell her of my situation. She will understand though...

I have this hectic schedule on November 22 if I really have to gamble, but first thing first. MaPa will be leaving on that date and it would be kind of hard on my/our part to see them leaving. There's nothing I/we can do about it and I/we think it's the best decision. Having my parents here for a year and 2 months is a very memorable experience for all of us in the family specially for Angelina. I'm so proud to announced to the whole wide world how lucky I am to have my parents here even for a short period of time. To you Ma and Pa, thank you for the love that you have showed to the whole family. I know you can't wait to go home and relate your experiences living in a foreign land. My siblings for sure will be laughing out loud when you tell all your stories...lolz!

Anyway, there are three birthday parties going on that day. Two of them will be held in Chuckie Cheese. I already confirmed my no show to both but for this evening affair at Chuckie Cheese, why not? Actually, the kids will have to enjoy the games, plays and pizzas at Chuckie for 3 hours and after the said event, adults will have Filipino food in the celebrant 's residence. For sure I would be more than likely relax after sending my parents to the airport on this very special day.

Happy Veterans Day

Veterans Day is an annual holiday honoring military veterans. Both a federal holiday and a state holiday in all states. It is usually observed on November 11.

Throughout our history, America has been protected by patriots who cherished liberty and made great sacrifices to advance the cause of freedom. The brave members of the United States Armed Forces have answered the call to serve our Nation, ready to give all for their country. On Veterans Day, we honor these extraordinary Americans for their service and sacrifice, and we pay tribute to the legacy of freedom and peace that they have given our great Nation.

In times of war and of peace, our men and women in uniform stepped forward to defend their fellow citizens and the country they love. They shouldered great responsibility and lived up to the highest standards of duty and honor. Our veterans held fast against determined and ruthless enemies and helped save the world from tyranny and terror. They ensured that America remained what our founders meant her to be: a light to the nations, spreading the good news of human freedom to the darkest corners of the earth. We must be very proud of all those who served our nation!
