Sunburst Grill

A neighbor of mine invited me for a Salad Master demo. I already attended twice for this demo thingy but different dealer and demonstrator.

Anyway, as we were talking, Sunburst Grill was brought up during our conversation. I love Filipino food and like to take an adventure of food tasting.

So, yesterday...after the Sunday worship, we all went out and ate at Sunburst. Thank you to my friend Mabel for checking out the address for me in the internet while we were on our way driving.

Holy smoke! The place was empty. Where are the people, I was asking myself and looked at my partner in crimes...lolz!

I like the ambiance of the place and according to the owner, they're in business for a year now.
Well, he was one of the first owner of the Manila To Go. He had a business partner during those time and now he decided to open his own restaurant together with his wife.

I do like the food, specially the Crispy Pata with Papaya pickles. We ordered two Halu-halo's with Macapuno and Ubi respectively. Ma and Pa shared and the McCartney's shared too. Yummy for the summer season!

Right after our eating session, we all went home and take our (not me!) afternoon nap.

I was busy with my project downstairs while watching ASAP and chatting online. Kind of busy, hu! My cellphone was ringing and it's an additional load to my tasks....lolz!

A friend called if I can go to their house and eat dinner. I really love to but I can't leave my project or else it all dried up for nothing. I apologized to my sweet friend and I was done with my project past 10:30 P.M.

Actually, I was not done yet, way to go! I just quit last night because it was getting late and it was time for me to join my family in bed. It's that cuddling time!

Have a great Monday morning!

Concert At The Park

Every summer, the City of Northglenn sponsors some summer concerts at the park. It's a very common events in almost cities and states.

Yesterday was the 1st day of the concerts in the park. We advertised the event in our brochure that it's every Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Well, seems like it's every afternoon that we have to experience the raindrops, lightning and thunder. I'm not sure what happen to mother nature, hope and pray that it's not the effect of global warming, what do you think?

Since it was raining hard, we opted or shall I say, had plan B for our children's activities.

We went to Bondocks Fun Center which is a block from the park. Kids were having fun indeed! My golly! I finally went to this place. I always pass by this place almost everyday going to my workplace from home.

Well, at 7:00 P.M. the gloomy weather turned into a happy one. Mr. Sunshine showed up! We headed back to the park to watch the event and let our children played in the playground.

It's my joy hanging out with girlfriends and sharing our jokes, fun and stories in life. We got pizza for our dinner, courtesy from the company who rented one of our pavillions in the park.

As soon as the mosquitoes started to show up, we all agreed to go home. We arrived home at 9:00 PM and our girl was so sleepy. As usual, tasks need to be done before lights off.

The Cutting Lesson

If you remember, I bought a scissor for our girl so she can start cutting some art works of her.

Our Dada noticed how sharp her little scissor was. He asked me if it was a safety scissor.

Anong malay ko kung may pagkakaiba pala. Ang alam ko basta a tiny scissor just like any scissors that I saw at the preschool. 'Yon pala ang nakuha ko it wasn't appropriate for our girl.

So, Hubby had a quicky drive going to Walgreens to buy a safety scissor. He came home and showed to me what was written in the packaged. He's right and no doubt about it.

Paano kasi in my younger years in Pinas, kahit ano basta gunting na panggupit, I was more than happy to play with it. No precautions or safety issues being imposed by the Phlippine Regulatory Board...wink!

Kaya kayo mga Nanay at Tatay, bilhin n'yo 'yong may sabing safety scissors or else ubos ang buhok ng anak n'yo. Angelina didn't try to cut her hair yet but she tried mine...how's that?

Anyway, I need to pick up our girl at home today for her Tiny Tots class. Dada has an appointment to go and as a mother to my child, it's my obligation to transport Angelina to her point of destination.

What's Going On

I'm so sad right now that my camera and computer were not in good terms...wink!

For some reason, my PMB (Picture Motion Browser ) is down and my pictures are not loading properly. I can load them in my media file but there wasn't any date when the pictures were taken.

I like the dates to appear in all my photos so it will served as a marker to me. It's kind of important, in my case.

It all started when Hubby loaded the video from our handycam to my lappy.

I tried to uninstall all my sony programs in my lappy and goodness gracious, it took forever and ever, AMEN!

I gave up and went outside and played with our girl with her Barbie Scooter. I took a video of her playing the scooter that her grandpa gave on her 4th birthday.

Wow! it's so amazing watching Angelina riding her tiny scooter with her one foot on it. She wants me to try her scooter but I never had the guts to ride or else I will suffer the consequences of having a broken hips, arms and legs . Yeah, I'm too old to attempt that kind of toy.

Hubby was watching us and was laughing hard how our Angelina forced me to ride her toy.

Sometimes, it's hard to say no to a child but I did say it firmly.

Online Casino

Some of my friends like to visit Central City where they can gamble and play in the casino.

It's quiet a drive going to Black Hawk and I was even asked to drive over there. Too bad, I don't have the guts and energy to drive that far. No hard feelings, I therefore frankly said that I can't and my husband won't let me.

Since these friends of mine knows how to surf and manipulate computers, I encouraged and convinced them to play in the online casino where they don't have to get out from their house to bet some money.

I even went to one of my friends house to show how to play an online games. She was just tickled pink and now she's hooked up with the game. What's funny, she don't have time to answer her phone and didn't bother either to call her friends because she's concentrating on her money making business on the internet by winning the games that she's playing with.

So, if you are that kind of person who likes to gamble and play an online casino, just visit bet2win.com and I'm sure you will have a blast playing with the games you like.

A Flood of Power

Notice, David likened God's power to the bursting forth of waters. In other words, he described it as a flood. He was saying that when the God of the breakthrough shows up and releases His power, it will be like a flood of His goodness, a flood of His favor, a flood of healing, a flood of new opportunity.

Think about how powerful water is. Three or four feet of water can pick up a huge car that weighs thousands of pounds and move it all around. I've seen on the news whole houses floating down the river in big floods. Nothing can stop the force of that water! Anything that's in its way is moved!

You may have difficulties that look extremely large, obstacles that look impassable, dreams that look unobtainable. But know this; when the God of the breakthrough releases a flood of His power, nothing can stop it. You need to get ready not for a trickle, not for a stream, not for a river. Get ready for a flood of God"s favor, a tidal wave of His goodness, a tsunami of His increase! Dare to believe that God is going to overwhelm you with victory in every area of your life today!

To Dream the Impossible Dream

One of my so many dreams in life is to visit the Middle East-- United Arab Emirates, Dubai in particular.

I have some of my friends, classmates and relatives working in Dubai. Chatting with them online and talking about this spectacular Dubai just makes me excited to fly as soon as I can.

According to my friend, my resource person, Dubai is an oasis in the desert and offers the epitomy of indulgence and endless sunny days. From the seven star Burl Al Arab Hotel to Jumeirah Palm Island, Dubai is a modern high tech city brimming with innovation that also has links to it traditional history and Islamic culture.

Of course to add more, she told me that my stay in UAE will not be complete if I won't stay for a night or two in Abu Dhabi, the capital City of United Arab Emirates. Based from my friend's experience, she narrated to me her unforgettable luxury accommodation in abu dhabi that is why she really convinced me to take a vacation on this side of the world. Abu Dhabi is where city life and luxury are infused by the traditional values of respect and hospitality. Full of skyscrapers, shopping plazas, extravagant hotels and magnificent mosques, this wealthy emirate destination is the most glamorous amongst the 7 sisters.

For sure, if my dream will turn into reality, I know where to book for my cheap dubai accommodation. Thanks to cheaper than hotels site via internet for the great deals they offer to the traveling public for everyone's hotel stay.

I can't wait for that time to come, where I can explore part of the hemisphere of the globe.

Wish me luck or am I just dreaming?

Fun With Girlfriends At the Filipino Festival

June 12 is a remarkable day for our country Philippines. It is a very significant event to celebrate called "Independence Day." Despite of living in a far away land, there is this Filipino Organization that celebrate this occasion every year to commemorates the freedom that we have.

I'm not a member to the organization but anyone can join the fun and enjoy whatever they have at the said place. The celebration was last Saturday, June 13th. I was just disappointed because I didn't see the Sunburst and Tropical Grill serving during the Filipino Festival.

I am a food fanatic but we want choices in life, right? According to our neighbor back in Pinas, " sumo man sad kon pirma na lang Inun-on Tulingan ang sud-anan." We need variety, too.

For fun, the four Marias (Analyn, Gina, Sharon Mae and Moi) had our health and wellness checked. We met our friend Lerio in the venue together with her husband Keith but she didn't stay long for some reason they have to go for their in-demand shopping...di ba, Ler?
Friendship Connie made it through the day but had to be at work by 3:00 PM. I had so much fun meeting people that I know.

Back to our Health and Wellness...Pssttt! it's FREE and no co-pay and why not grab the opportunity whether it was accurate or not...lolz! I would say that they did a great job in serving the Filipino Community in the Denver area.

Well, we had our blood pressure checked, allergy test, diabetes test, cholesterol test and asthma test. Based from the result, everything went normal, you think ha! They also had the breast exam but we're all hungry to wait for more hours so we can be next in line.

For lunch, the only food we saw is Chicken adobo, rice noodles and rice. So, we gobbled and gobbled while watching some presentations on stage.

We took some photos of ours and too bad my camera died on me after taking 4 shots.

Looking at the sky seems like it's about to rain. We left the premises as early as 3:00 PM, dropped off Sharon Mae in her place and the three of us heading north of Denver where we belong.

As soon as I pulled in our driveway, I can tell someone was barbecuing based from my sense of smelling. Yohoo! It was Hubby grilling some baby back ribs and chicken breasts in our backyard together with our little girl.

Yes, I was still hungry and want to eat more. We had a yummy dinner around 4:30 PM with baked Potatoes, Green Beans and Lettuce salad. Ma and Pa had a side dish of rice, as usual.

What's cute about our dinner? It was our girl who volunteered to set up our table. I helped her to get the plates but she has the right of way getting all the silverware using our kitchen stool.

We will see how long her eagerness would last with regards to helping around the house....ahehehhe! I'm pretty sure, I will miss this stage of her life that is why I have to enjoy as much as I can and let her explore and manipulates the good things that she's eager to do.

To my DearPie, thank you for the delicious dinner.

Complimentary Pass, Once Again!

I came in to work last Thursday and found this tiny envelope sticking in my mailbox.

I had my name in the outside and opened it right away.

There is this tiny card that really touched my lab-dab heart. Aside from the card were two complimentary passes at Elitch Garden.

That was so nice of my Superior for thinking of my hardwork.

Tiny little things as such like this is very dear to me.
It's the thought that counts, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Yohooo! It's that time again to visit this Elitch place.

Some of you may know that I have a very active toddler that wants to do anything for fun. We always pass by at Elitch Garden and she's in so much joy to visit this amusement place once again.

God will make a way, right? So, Angelina's longing was answered. Oh boy! I don't have any plan yet on what particular day and time we will use our complimentary pass. All I know, we can use the ticket anytime within this year except for those private functions and the date being stated above.

Just sharing a very sentimental blessing, you know...wink! What an awesome God!

Ready Get Set, Shop!

Being a descendant of Eve and a woman in nature, shopping for me is a very pleasurable experience. I admit, shopping is one of my favorite past time. It can be with friends, family, spouse and just me, alone. It's like a therapy for me.

As we reached the computer age, it is more easy and convenient for us to shop in the comfort of our own home. For sure shopping online will help us save some money and we can get great online shopping deals.

Why? We don't have to hop from one store to another driving all over just to get the right price that we want. At online store, we can make comparison shopping as cool as it is without using all our energy from walking physically.

I enjoy myself shopping online, checking which stores online are real and have the great deal I want.

I'm satisfied so far on what I shopped online and more than happy to get the cash back rebates as if I'm getting my money back. My Hubby always call me a wise shopper for I shop items with quality and reasonable prices.

Now that I found Extrabux.com, I am so thankful with the great deal they offer to the shopping public. Here's what it says, every time you shop online, be sure to come to Extrabux.com first and click on their link to the online store of your choice. You will be taken to that store's website and they will earn commission on anything you purchase, but rather than keep this commission, they will give it to us, the shoppers! The more online shopping we do, the more we will earn. It's a win-win-win situation.

Dress For Success

Uniforms today have become an essential tool in many professional fields, providing a sense of solidarity and authority in the workplace.

Wearing a uniform in the workplace can create a real sense of professionalism and set a good example for the clients or customers. They stimulate a sense of pride in being part of the group, and allow the staff to focus on their job, instead of fashion.

Uniforms help to keep the workplace staff standardized and will show that they are all working towards a common purpose. Uniforms are practical too. They will not only save the staff money on buying expensive workwear, but also save them time in deciding what to wear for the work day.

After all, we know from experience in our own daily lives that our uniforms provide an image for us.

For a great selection of quality uniforms and products for your business needs. Please visit unifirst.com from Standard Worker, Protective Clothing, Corporate Casual Attire, Custom Image Program and much more to offer when it comes to business uniforms.

Blog Award From A Dearest Friend

Hello friend Lerio, thank you for passing on this blog award thingy. I really appreciate it and I'm honored...wink! I do understand that we both are busy but we still manage to talk on a constant basis. I have old and new friends that I really keep and you are one of them.

Friends may come and go in our walk of life but I treasured those who are
Dear to ME!

The first time I talked to you over the phone, I can sense the sincerity in you. The minute I saw you, I can tell you are for real...wink! I enjoyed talking with you, hanging with you and sharing those delicate secrets in life. Pssstt...ang TSISMIS! Just kidding...

Too bad, we don't have time to deal that kind of business matter...lolz! We have more important things to do instead.

Being a friend, I am open to comments, suggestions and clarifications in life and no hard feelings...yay! That's how I like life. Correct me if I'm wrong and I will do the same...wink!

That's what friends are for, ...for good times and bad times , I'll be on your side forever more.
Psstt...it's a song and the lyrics really put a great impact in my being.

Anyhow, I don't have any clue what's the deal, rule or criteria of this blog award. All I know, I'm expressing my sincerity with regards to FRIENDSHIP.

Once again, thank you for the blog award and most of all thank you for the FRIENDSHIP!

May God Bless Us All and may we all have a fantastic midweek!

Loving This Passage - Psalm 139:1-16

O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether...

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.

If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," even the night shall be light about me; indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Just remember....In every desert of despair God has an oasis of comfort.

Have a great Tuesday Morning to all Bloghoppers!!!

Hotel Great Deal

Going to other places is anyone's dream. I admit, I like to travel and go somewhere for fun and pleasure.

I'm glad that we have so many choices and options on where to go and buy some cheap hotels across and around the world for our pleasant stay.

For sure booking hotels online is very convenient and hassle free. You don't have to pay a booking fee or an agent to process your hotel reservations. It's so easy and environmental friendly.

For us the McCartneys', we like to travel and take some vacations away from home. Even just hopping from one state to another we still need a place to stay. I'm glad that I found this site online where I can book our hotel accommodation as easy as 1-2-3!

For our out of the country vacation, we're planning to visit my home land Philippines sometimes. Hubby and I were talking about a stop over in Thailand and stay for four days and explore the beauty of this country. Of course, I have to check out the cheap Thailand hotels and I'm pretty sure they have the greatest deal of hotel accommodation that we can afford to pay.

I can't wait that day to come and to add up, I know where to buy cheap hotels in town and around the globe that our family can afford to stay.

Attending a 10th Birthday Party

Everyone was having a great time in the said party specially the kiddos. Angelina was the youngest among the girls and Kyle (6mos old) was for the boys.

The Filipino food, Pinata and birthday cake were the main highlights...lolz!

We arrived the host's house closed to 5:00 PM and everyone was ready to start the eating session.

Chicamos here and there! As usual, I have to watch my girl because there's a lot of bigger kids playing all over the place.

Angelina's being cautious too. Just like the Pinata time, bigger kids grabbed the candies right away and she was just standing behind. She looked at me and started to cry because she don't have any candy.
Thanks to the birthday celebrant for sharing her fruit of labor.
To Florenda and Chris, thanks for the e-vites!

Got to go and need to have a goodnight sleep. I will be back to work tomorrow .
