Friday Shopping

I went shopping with Ivy and Annie later during the day. It was really busy in all the stores that we went. Lots of people were taking advantage of the door buster for the early bird shoppers.
It's true, if you have the diligent and patient with all the chaotic people at the store, you can get great deals. Is it worth it? For me , it is and I don't have any problem with the crowd.
I bought some cute outfit for our little girl. When I got home, she was so happy emptying all the sacks. Her eyes just sparkled upon seeing all the clothes that she got.
I was kind of tired from hopping to one store and another.
I better go and get some rest.

Thanksgiving Dinner

As a tradition, we have to celebrate our Thanksgiving within our family circle. No friends involved or invited.
We held the said occasion at my FIL"s home. There were five of us, (ME, Hubby, Angelina, Fil and william Gary).
My FIL just ordered the whole set of food at Safety. He just warmed all the food in his oven and what a great dinner we have.
I supposed to be in a Filipina's house since I was invited for a Filipino Thanksgiving. I was so tired and lazy then fall asleep. I heard the message in our voicemail from her wandering where I am.
It was dark then when I woke up, so I called her and apologized for not showing on her dinner.

An Email from My Boss

I checked my email this morning at work and one of it is from my Boss. They already put up the Christmas tree and just need to be decorated. If I have time, I can start putting up the Christmas ornaments around the tree.We have three Christmas tree here at work. Maybe later, I will make the tree beautiful. I need to visit and jot down some journals here in my blog world. I have plenty of opportunities to grab but I don't have much time or shall I say, I can't do personal business here at work. If those opportunities will still be available 'til I get home, I'm more than happy to grab those.

The Guilt In Me

I felt so bad for not attending my former co-worker's baby shower. I had a hectic schedule last Friday preparing for our little gathering in our house in lieu of Ma and Pa's go away party as the main event.
I just gave her the present today. There were 18 people showed up per Cind i( my co-worker) during the said shower.
Right now, I'm watching the final of the Dancing With the Stars. It's really exciting to hear the result. I can't wait the announcement of who will be the champion. Oh well, may the best dancers win!

Alarm Didn't Go Off

Did I ever tell you how I woke up yesterday and today? No, I didn't woke up in the wrong bed or someone's bed...Wednesday, my Banana woke me up by 4:20 AM. He was waiting for me to come down on my regular wake up time. After twenty minutes of waiting and it never happened...thank goodness he came by our room and did an Eskimo Kiss so I can be awake. He's so sweet, right? Anyway, my alarm didn't go off. I looked at it and only to find out that it was set to PM instead of AM. Well, our Angelina likes to manipulate my belongings specially my cellphone which I always use now as my alarm clock. I would say cellphone is better as long I have to set it right than the regular timer that you have to plugged in. I had an experienced with it also. There was a brown out in the middle of the night and the alarm didn't go off. I just woke up on that particular morning when our Custodial at work called me home. She was my alarmed clock and I was in the panicked mood as far as I can recall.Today, I heard the alarm and just turned it off and try to go back to bed for like 25 minutes. About 4:38 AM, Hubby kissed me and told me that it's time for me to go to work. Oh well, he can be my prince in a shining armor...wink! For sure he is!

A Curious Customer

He's new in the area and likes to use our facility. I gave him a tour around the building and introduced him with all the equipments we have. After a walk through, I gave him our Brochure so he can look and see what other activities that we're offering in our recreation. We go over the pricing, membership and passes.I tried to explained that if he comes in at least 3 times a week, a one year pass is a good deal for him. He's smiling at me and said, "Do you have any commission or incentives if I get the one year pass?" "No, sir I don't," looking at him eye to eye. "Too bad, you did very good with your sales talk and you're a great help to me," his rambling."Thank you!" I said in reply. He signed up for a year membership and he's gonna be one of our valued patrons in town.Don't you just love to be around people?

My two neighboring friends invited me yesterday to go shopping with them after work. Both of us have this coupon at DSW for $20.00 as a reward for our birthday from this store.Too bad, my Banana can't take Angelina to her Twinkle Toes dance lesson since he have tons (huh!) of paper works to finish. That means, I was obliged to do so. I told my friends, maybe some other time when I have a real day off and my Bana's able to watch our piglet.

Another friend called and leave a message if we can go out today and have some fun at the Mall. I doubt it if I can. My parents asked a favor last night if I can take them to the store today so they can buy something for their Philippine Pasalubong. Putting two and two together, I have to spend time with my MaPa while they're still here. Definitely, I will take them to the store today and eat out since their days are counted...lolz! I have to call my friend later and tell her of my situation. She will understand though...

I have this hectic schedule on November 22 if I really have to gamble, but first thing first. MaPa will be leaving on that date and it would be kind of hard on my/our part to see them leaving. There's nothing I/we can do about it and I/we think it's the best decision. Having my parents here for a year and 2 months is a very memorable experience for all of us in the family specially for Angelina. I'm so proud to announced to the whole wide world how lucky I am to have my parents here even for a short period of time. To you Ma and Pa, thank you for the love that you have showed to the whole family. I know you can't wait to go home and relate your experiences living in a foreign land. My siblings for sure will be laughing out loud when you tell all your stories...lolz!

Anyway, there are three birthday parties going on that day. Two of them will be held in Chuckie Cheese. I already confirmed my no show to both but for this evening affair at Chuckie Cheese, why not? Actually, the kids will have to enjoy the games, plays and pizzas at Chuckie for 3 hours and after the said event, adults will have Filipino food in the celebrant 's residence. For sure I would be more than likely relax after sending my parents to the airport on this very special day.

Happy Veterans Day

Veterans Day is an annual holiday honoring military veterans. Both a federal holiday and a state holiday in all states. It is usually observed on November 11.

Throughout our history, America has been protected by patriots who cherished liberty and made great sacrifices to advance the cause of freedom. The brave members of the United States Armed Forces have answered the call to serve our Nation, ready to give all for their country. On Veterans Day, we honor these extraordinary Americans for their service and sacrifice, and we pay tribute to the legacy of freedom and peace that they have given our great Nation.

In times of war and of peace, our men and women in uniform stepped forward to defend their fellow citizens and the country they love. They shouldered great responsibility and lived up to the highest standards of duty and honor. Our veterans held fast against determined and ruthless enemies and helped save the world from tyranny and terror. They ensured that America remained what our founders meant her to be: a light to the nations, spreading the good news of human freedom to the darkest corners of the earth. We must be very proud of all those who served our nation!

A Busy Friday

Supposedly, my friend from Wyoming will drop by our house since they're here in Denver for some medical reason.I really want to see her but I have a dental appointment again for my Dad.

I was being referred to go to UC of Denver for my Dad's tooth extraction.

I don't know how long would the process be.

Later this afternnon...I have to drive all the way to Fort Collins. Need to drop off something for my friend and at the same time do some sight seeing while the weather is perfect.

First of all, Angelina has to take her morning nap. Pretty soon...

Too Bad

I came in this morning to work, turned on the computers then read my mails. One of the mails was from the City. It's kind of a sad email but who's to be blamed? What is it all about? Pretty soon they will start to lay off City employees. The City is cutting of budget due to what happen of our economy.

I would say that a lot of companies are in the process of cutting of workers not just my work place.

It is a sad state of affair but it's the practicality of life in general.

Wednesday Morning-October 1st

We're chit chatting about our weekend (Moi and co-worker) and suddenly our alarm went off like crazy. We got up from our chairs and I went to the right wing of the building to let our patrons evacuate the building while my co-worker went to the left wing.

My heart goes to the seniors having the Silver Sneakers exercise in the pool. They went outside with just their swim suit on. Take note, they're wet and freezing cold as early as 8:20 AM. Good thing, we have reserved towels for rent so we just let them use just to help them in some way.

Construction still going on in our building. Maybe it's the dust from pounding so hard that triggered the said alarm. Who knows anymore what's going on.

As what Ive heard, they're working really hard to meet the requirements from the Fire Code. The City were given a certain deadline to work on it. To tell you what? I love, America. They're so strict with their rules and regulations. Wish, our country Philippines would be like that too.

Anyway, you all know what's going on with the whole world specially our country America. The question? Are we having a recession or depression? I'm not a psychic but base from the Bible pretty soon we don't have money to withdraw from the ATM machine and this 666 number will come...kind of scary but we don't want that to happen, right?

We need to pray on what's going on around the world. It doesn't affect me since I'm already old but how about the future of our children? We don't want the younger generations to suffer the whole turmoil?

We have to pray hand in hand and who knows God will answer our prayers. I'm sure, He will! Peace my friends and have a good Monday morning.

Depressed

Sometimes life is so hard.

It's hard to tell...now you are giggling and laughing like crazy and all of a sudden your mood change. You feel like you want to cry but there's no tears, you feel like you want to die but your still breathing, and you can feel the emptiness in your inner you.

I was watching, "My Girl" and "Iisa Pa Lamang" last night and I was crying like crazy. I was carried by my emotions. My little girl was asking why I was crying and I told her, it's because of the show that I'm watching.

She hugged me so tight and reassured me that it's gonna be okey. Funny little child.Have a great morning, EVERYONE!

Waking Up

Did I just woke up?

Can you imagine? As soon as I woke up, I clean our upstairs bathroom. This is our main bathroom that's being abuse all year round...lolz!

I used the Lysol and disinfect the entire room. Ma's cleaning our house most of the time but you know...She's a good cleaner but as she grows old, it's hard to say anymore. I don't want to say anything, I mean hurt her feelings and just let her do her stuff. She's a great help in our house specially her cooking talent. I would really missed Ma and Pa when it's time for them to go home.

Oh well, I can't hold them to stay. I have more siblings in the Philippines that needs them.

Good Morning, Sunshine

I feel good today. I've just done cleaning, organizing and dusting the counter area where I always work at. I'm not a clean and neat freak person but I want everything to be in order. I'm not also the obsessive compulsive individual. It's just being me.

I can work and function better if everything is in the proper places. How's that? Do you feel the same?
Monday...I have lots of things to accomplish today after work. I need to pay our house before the grace period or they (mortgage company) will charge a late fee on us. I always pay our mortgage 2 days before the deadline. Just being practical again...

Before the day is over, I need to set up an appointment for Angelina's first dental check up. I've been procrastinating this for months already. For dinner tonight, I need to grill some pork chops then slice it and mix with my macaroni salad plus the lettuce. Sounds yummy, right?

I better go now and keep working here.

It Was A Joke

....but Hubby was so pissed of me. Why? We're downstairs watching TV and he was playing with his boxer. Since he's skinny compared before so he put it all the way up above his hips. We were still laughing though and I said you look like Mr. Bean. I can just see the anger on his face with his big rolling eyeballs.
He was so sensitive about it and he said he don't like Mr. Bean.I do like Mr. Bean because he's so funny. I didn't tell him literally that his face is like Mr. Bean but when he pulled up his boxer.

I said sorry of what I've done but that's not right? We're having fun and joking and he took it very seriously. Sometimes, it is hard to understand my better-half. He didn't sleep with us last night because of his crazy madness.

He took his pillows and slept in our couch downstairs. This morning, he called and apologized for his behavior...Okey, apologized accepted with feelings. Wink!
